Big day, big occasion =)

My cousin got married today. She's my age. So is her husband. =)
It got my aunties and uncles asking me when my big day is.
It can get a lil frustrating, I must admit.
Thought I had the perfect answers:

1. There are at least 2 other cousins older than me who can/will get married before me.
2. I will only get married when my cousin's unborn son is old enough to kick/open the bridal car door. *grin*

I like the 2nd excuse coz the person who kicked/opened the door today was another 15-yr-old cousin of mine.
We do need some toddlers around i guess.

It was a great day =) Busy, tiring but good =)

Now that I've mentioned Tired, I'm pooped. nite =*

Reminisce

A reminisce of the not-so-long-ago.
The driveway and the people. The guests ... miss the people there more than i miss the job.
but all of it comes with the job.
*sigh*

My heart is failing me . . .

"My heart can't take it ..."

Been getting a constant heartburn since 2 nights ago. It ain't a great feeling.
Had plenty of ideas in my head ... maybe indigestion, maybe overeating ... maybe over-exercising ...maybe ...

Until when I woke up this morning, thinking all this is just not right + periodic chest pains.
So I dragged myself to the doc & got myself a one day mc.

I think having a heart attack is one of the best ways to die.
I was a tad disappointed when the doc said I was certainly too young to have heart problems.
I was also appalled by that statement because we have certainly heard of youngsters collapsing/dying of heart failure.

So yeah, I'm still here, feet planted on earth. Though periodically, the pain in my chest stops me in my tracks, makes me cringe lil in pain, then take a deep breath when it eases.

Come to think of it, it makes one feel alive. My heart is still beating. =)

Under One Roof ... The Taxi Roof

It was kinda weird but we lived through it. At least I definitely did, to tell this tale.
Not a fantastic tale but one that can be summarised in a sentence.

I shared a cab yesterday. At the instruction of the taxi driver. *chuckle*

It was interesting. First thing that popped into my head was "Religious Harmony".
It's great, no?
A malay taxi driver, a chinese passenger at the back seat (me) and an indian passenger in the front.

It wasn't awkward. There was conversation... =)
Thinking about it brings a smile to my face.

Argh! The pressure cooker of Life!!

I feel like I have soooo much to do. There's so much in my head.
Sometimes I wish our brain was like the trash in our computers, where you can hit Empty Trash & the stuff you want to throw out gets deleted.

This is gonna be one helluva week. I'm sooooo looking forward to my cousin's wedding this sunday, but certainly not looking forward to her blessing ceremony this Deepavali. Wish weddings could be as simple as we liken it to be. It often just isn't the case, no? Especially with an extended family similar to mine, where opinionated elders want things done a certain for various reasons.

Where is the biggest picture in all this? Isn't a wedding supposed to be a union of 2 people, no doubt 2 families... but seriously, shouldn't the entire wedding be left to the bride and groom, for the simplest of reasons - it's their wedding. THEY are spending their lives together. They're certainly not gonna be spending their lives with me or you or YOU.

Excuse the ramblings... it's storytelling by Phy =)
