Toilet Bowl Talk . . . Life . . .
Yes, so I'm sitting on my toilet bowl again.
It seems to be one of my fav places at home ...
- the right size
- the right temperature
- perhaps not the right smells ...
but you get the idea ...
I have looked back at 2008 and it has never failed to surprise me.
The months that have zoomed past.
The fact that I'm about to start using the OCBC 2009 corporate diary.
The fact that I'm STILL in OCBC despite wondering and certainly contemplating leaving so many a time.
Time is passing by too quickly, too quickly for my liking.
I don't want to turn 28 . . .
Alas, it ain't my choice.
Looking back at the past year, I recall this conversation I had with an ex-colleague.
She was telling me how she loved to spend her off days lazing in bed, watching DVDs...
and I told her that I would rather be out on the streets, shopping, hanging out with friends.
I must now confess that I am in pretty much her state of mind then, now.
I love online shopping.
I'm a 90210 / Lipstick Jungle / Gossip Girl addict.
I look forward to my downloads & track down the U.S. showtimes just so I'm up to date!
And I wonder ...
Slave to globalization/modernization, you think?

I Love Shopping!
I love shopping ... more accurately online shopping!
It promotes the potato couch syndrome ... laziness ...
BUT ... it also shows how much more convenient the world has gotten!
The best part is you don't even have to lift your butt to get to the Cashier!
Internet Banking / Credit Cards has made it all the more easier!
I might be really slow in catching on to all this ...
but the "abundance" of these blog shopping sites is amazing ...
I guess it really promotes entrepreneurship ...
makes me wonder again about myself ...
Entrepreneurship & me.
I wonder ... and I wonder somemore . . .
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.

Blind - Lifehouse
I was young but I wasn't naive
I watched helpless as he turned around to leave
and still I have the pain I have to carry
a past so deep that even you could not bury if you tried
after all this time
I never thought we'd be here
never thought we'd be here
when my love for you was blind
but I couldn't make you see it
couldn't make you see it
that I loved you more than you'll ever know
a part of me died when I let you go
I would fall asleep
only in hopes of dreaming
that everything would be like is was before
but nights like this it seems are slowly fleeting
they disappear as reality is crashing to the floor
after all this time
I never thought we'd be here
never thought we'd be here
when my love for you was blind
but I couldn't make you see it
couldn't make you see it
that I loved you more than you'll ever know
a part of me died when I let you go
after all this time
would you ever wanna leave it
maybe you could not believe it
that my love for you was blind
but I couldn't make you see it
couldn't make you see it
that I loved you more than you will ever know
a part of me died when I let you go
and I loved you more than you'll ever know
a part of me dies when I let you go

If I were Queen of the World ...
. . .
I would declare a 5 day weekend / 2 day work week
I would declare everything free-of-charge
I would create an abundance of food / shelter / necessities
I would make it compulsory for everyone to attend etiquette and "Save the Earth for our Future Generations" classes
I would declare the world a home for all, where no unequality exists
I would make it compulsory for everyone on rations for all necessities or luxury goods (eg. Everyone can have an LV bag, a Loewe bag, a rolex of their choice, a prada wallet etc.)
there would be no taxes or fines to pay
I would bring back corporal punishment, even for the young, and Alcatraz
there would be no concept of $$ but yet a concept of acceptance and contentment
there will be no credit cards or credit lines
there will be no stock market and therefore, no financial crises
the concept of LOVE will be taught young
polygamy, evil, sadness, inequality, greed and dishonesty will cease to exist
there will be happy people in the world
All that said, please vote Phy!

Halloween
Halloween is over ...
To watch others dress up ... it's really interesting and fun!
I love the witches' hats ... the glitter and the swirls of colour ...
Despite the evening turning out to be quieter than expected ...
despite it turning from "clubbing" to "chillin" ...
despite the eventual realization that we have grown up in a span of 2 years ...
despite having gobbled down calories upon calories of food ... plus a mushroom cheese prata ...
heehee!
despite realising that females will be females and males will be males ...
despite realising that life can be so much better without a burden ...
I had a great night!
