Forgotten ~ Nothing ~ No more, no less than nothing

the old familiar feelings
the dull ache that never goes away
the ones I have always feared
the ones I said I never want to feel again

the ones that made me clench my fists so tight
the ones that made me clench my jaw
the ones that made my head spin each time i close my eyes
the ones that pulled me deeper and deeper into the darkness
the murderers

they make you feel weak
make you feel lifeless
make it hard to breathe
make you want to give up

the feelings seem to have broken through
rising from the depths I buried them in

the promise of happiness
forgotten
nothing
no more, no less, than nothing
